Instructions
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and reserve ½ cup of water.
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat and cook garlic until fragrant.
Add shrimp, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper; cook until shrimp turn pink.
Stir in lemon juice, zest, remaining butter, and reserved pasta water; cook until heated through.
Mix in cooked pasta and parsley, garnish with Parmesan if desired, and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
