A refreshing and vibrant coffee beverage infused with homemade blueberry syrup, perfect for a cool treat.

Ingredients

Blueberry Syrup

  • 0.5 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or maple syrup
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cold milk (any variety)
  • 2 shots espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Optional Garnish

  • to taste whipped cream or extra blueberries (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Combine blueberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan; simmer for 4-5 minutes until thickened.
  • Strain the mixture to remove solids and stir in vanilla; let cool.
  • Fill glasses with ice and add 2 tablespoons of blueberry syrup to each.
  • Pour 1 shot of espresso into each glass over the syrup, then add cold milk and stir gently.
  • Optional: top with whipped cream and extra blueberries before serving.

Notes

Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor, and adjust sweetness to taste.
