This creamy pesto chicken pasta is a quick and flavorful dish perfect for any weeknight dinner. Rich, cheesy, and packed with fresh flavors, it's sure to become a favorite.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Pasta

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)

Cream

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup pesto sauce

Garlic

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Oil

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Seasoning

  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook in olive oil until no longer pink. Slice into strips.
  • Sauté minced garlic in the same pan for 30 seconds.
  • Reduce heat, add heavy cream and pesto, simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix in cooked pasta and chicken, top with Parmesan, and serve.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
