A flavorful and easy-to-make pasta dish featuring tender chicken, zesty lemon, and aromatic garlic in a buttery sauce.

Ingredients

For the Pasta:

  • 8 ounces fettuccine or spaghetti

For the Chicken:

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts

For the Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 piece lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook in 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat for 6-7 minutes per side until golden. Rest and slice.
  • In the same skillet, melt remaining butter, add garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice and zest.
  • Pour in chicken broth, bring to simmer. Add pasta and toss to coat, adjusting with reserved pasta water as needed.
  • Add sliced chicken, mix, and adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley and Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
