A refreshing tropical beverage combining the sweetness of mango with the coolness of iced tea, perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

Water

  • 4 cups water

Tea bags

  • 2 bags black or green tea bags (for a lighter taste)

Fruit

  • 1 ripe mango ripe mango, peeled and diced

Sweetener

  • 2 tablespoons honey (or to taste)

Acid

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Ice cubes

  • as needed ice cubes (for serving)

Garnish

  • optional fresh mint (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a boil, steep tea bags for 5 minutes, then discard.
  • Blend diced mango with honey and lemon juice until smooth.
  • Combine brewed tea and mango puree in a pitcher, chill for at least 1 hour.
  • Fill glasses with ice, pour mango tea, and garnish with mint if desired.

Notes

Adjust honey to taste for sweetness.
