Prepare pecan topping by melting butter with brown sugar, milk, and maple syrup; simmer 2 minutes. Spread pecans in a greased 9x13-inch pan and pour topping over.
Punch down dough, roll into a 12x18-inch rectangle, spread softened butter, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture, then roll tightly into an 18-inch log. Cut into 12 rolls and place in the pan over pecans.
Cover and let rise 30-45 minutes until puffy. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Bake rolls for 25-28 minutes until golden. Invert onto a serving platter and serve warm.
Notes
For best results, let the dough rest if it shrinks during rolling. You can prepare the rolls overnight and bake fresh in the morning.
