Ingredients

Doughs and Batters

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup espresso powder
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 1 cup egg nog

Filling and Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions 

  • Prepare the dough by mixing coconut milk, flour, sugar, and espresso powder. Let it rise for 30 minutes.
  • Melt the dark chocolate and combine with egg nog to create the filling.
  • Roll out the dough, spread the chocolate-egg nog mixture, and sprinkle shredded coconut. Roll into a loaf and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
  • Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar to make the frosting. Spread over cooled babka.
  • Slice and serve the coconut custard babka with optional toppings.
