A flavorful marinade perfect for grilled chicken, combining fresh lime, herbs, and spices for a vibrant taste.

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Instructions 

  • Whisk olive oil, lime juice, and vinegar until combined.
  • Add garlic and spices; whisk until evenly mixed.
  • Stir in cilantro and coat chicken with marinade. Refrigerate for 2+ hours.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill chicken 6-8 minutes per side until cooked through.
  • Rest chicken 5 minutes before slicing. Serve hot.

Notes

Marinate longer for more flavor. Discard used marinade before grilling.
