Kosher salt and fresh black pepper

Instructions
Whisk sauce ingredients, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
Toss tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil; season and set aside.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Sear chicken in hot oil until golden, then add balsamic mixture and simmer briefly.
Top chicken with tomato-mozzarella mixture and bake for 18-23 minutes until cooked through. Rest before serving.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F for safety.
