A flavorful one-pan dish combining tender chicken thighs with fragrant garlic, sweet honey, and savory rice for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs

Grains

  • 1 cup white rice (uncooked)

Aromatics & Condiments

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 3 slices lemon (optional, for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper. Sear in a skillet with olive oil until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, cook garlic and butter until fragrant. Add honey and soy sauce, then stir to coat.
  • Add rice and chicken broth, then nestle chicken back in. Cover and simmer for 18–22 minutes until rice is tender.
  • Uncover, fluff rice, sprinkle with parsley, garnish with lemon slices, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken beforehand or add a squeeze of lemon before serving.
