This quick and easy one-pot pasta recipe combines garlic, Parmesan, and creamy goodness for a satisfying meal in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients
Pasta
8ozpasta (spaghetti, linguine, or penne)
1tablespoonbutter or olive oil
4clovesgarlic (minced)
2cupsmilk (whole preferred, or use any you have)
1cupwater (or as needed to just cover the pasta)
¾cupfreshly grated Parmesan cheese
½teaspoonsalt (or to taste)
¼teaspoonblack pepper
1teaspoonItalian seasoning
2tablespoonscream cheese or sour cream (optional for extra creaminess)
garnish: chopped parsley or basil (optional)
Instructions
In a large pot, melt butter or heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add water and milk to the pot, then bring to a boil. Stir in pasta, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until pasta is al dente, about 10 minutes.
Stir in Parmesan cheese and optional cream cheese or sour cream until creamy and well combined. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley or basil if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use full-fat milk and cheese. You can also add cooked chicken or vegetables for extra nutrition.
