Instructions
Grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
Chop bread into chunks and layer in the dish. Add chopped apples on top.
Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugars, cinnamon, and vanilla; pour over bread and apples. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C). Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes.
Prepare streusel by mixing dry ingredients and cutting in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over baked casserole and bake for 5 more minutes.
Cool slightly, then serve warm with toppings like syrup or powdered sugar.
Notes
This casserole tastes best when eaten within 4 days. Reheat before serving for best results.
