A refreshing and flavorful iced tea combining ripe peaches, fresh basil, and black tea, perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

Water

  • 4 cups water (for boiling and steeping)

Tea

  • 3 tablespoons loose black tea (or 3 tea bags)
  • 3 tea bags tea bags

Peaches

  • 2 ripe peaches peaches (pitted and sliced)

Basil

  • 0.25 cup fresh basil leaves (gently bruised)

Sweetener

  • 0.25 cup honey or sugar (to taste)

Ice Cubes

  • as needed ice cubes

Garnish

  • optional lemon slices and basil sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a boil, then remove from heat and steep tea for 5 minutes.
  • Slice peaches and bruise basil leaves; strain tea and stir in peaches, basil, and honey until dissolved.
  • Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and basil sprigs if desired.

Notes

Adjust sweetness to taste and enjoy!
