A flavorful and easy-to-make rice pilaf with vermicelli and herbs, perfect as a side dish or main course.
Ingredients
Broth and Seasonings

low-sodium chicken broth

cup
unsalted butter

kosher sea salt

garlic powder

tsp
ground black pepper

paprika
pinch
onion powder

tablespoons
olive oil

vermicelli (or orzo)

long grain white rice

fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
Simmer broth, butter, salt, garlic powder, pepper, paprika, and onion powder until boiling.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-low heat.
Add vermicelli and cook until browned, then add rice and cook until bright white.
Pour broth into skillet, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
Uncover, add parsley, cover, and cook 5 more minutes until absorbed.
Fluff with a fork and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, toast the vermicelli until golden before adding rice.
