A classic pecan pie with a rich, sweet filling and optional decorative touches, perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

Pie Crust

  • 1 piece pie crust

Filling

  • 1.5 cups brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup granulated white sugar
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter (browning optional but recommended)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1.5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1.5 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Pecans

  • 2 cups pecans (additional pecans may be reserved for garnishing)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375ยบ F. Roll out the crust and fit into your pan, trimming excess dough.
  • Whisk eggs until foamy. Mix in browned butter, sugars, flour, cinnamon, salt, cream, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Fold in pecans and pour filling into the prepared crust. Decorate with extra dough if desired.
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes until center is set. Cool to room temperature before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, browning the butter is recommended.
