A moist and flavorful bread combining the sweetness of bananas with the warm spices of pumpkin and cinnamon, perfect for fall or anytime you crave comfort.

Ingredients

Bananas and Pumpkin

  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 bananas)
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)

Dairy and Sweeteners

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Optional Nuts

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan.
  • Mix mashed bananas, pumpkin, melted butter, and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; blend well.
  • Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to wet mixture. Fold in nuts if using.
  • Pour batter into pan, smooth top, and bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool in pan 10-15 minutes, then transfer to wire rack. Slice and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of cinnamon on top before baking.
