Delight in these creamy pumpkin mousse cups topped with vibrant orange coating, perfect for fall festivities or holiday desserts.

Ingredients

Candy Coating

  • 18 oz orange candy coating melts (or a mix of orange, yellow, and brown)

Chocolate

  • 14 oz white chocolate chips ((2 1/3 cups))

Cream

  • ¾ cup heavy cream (or pumpkin spice coffee creamer)
  • 4.25 oz pumpkin puree ((1/2 cup))

Salt

  • Pinch salt

Spices

  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Food Coloring

  • as needed orange gel food coloring (I use Americolor brand)

Gelatin

  • 1 Tbsp unflavored powdered gelatin
  • 3 Tbsp cold water
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream

Instructions 

  • Melt the candy coating and white chocolate separately.
  • Mix gelatin with cold water and heat until dissolved, then add to pumpkin puree with spices and salt.
  • Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold into pumpkin mixture.
  • Color the melted candy coating with orange gel food coloring.
  • Pour pumpkin mousse into cups, then dip tops in colored candy coating. Chill before serving.

Notes

Ensure to chill the mousse cups for at least 2 hours before serving for best texture.
