(chopped into 1/2” chunks)
flaky sea salt
for finishing
(such as Maldon)
Instructions
Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda; set aside.
Cream butter, sugars, then add egg and vanilla until combined.
Mix in dry ingredients, then fold in chocolate chunks. Scoop dough into balls, sprinkle with flaky salt.
If resting dough, cover and chill; otherwise, preheat oven to 350°F and freeze until ready.
Bake until set, 15-18 minutes, then cool on a rack.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle with flaky sea salt immediately after baking.
