A hearty and flavorful minced beef dish perfect for a comforting meal, served over mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 500 g minced / ground beef
  • 750 ml beef stock/broth
  • 1 large large onion
  • 1 large large carrot
  • 150 g frozen peas
  • 2 stalks celery stalks
  • 2 cloves cloves of garlic
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 bay leaves bay leaves
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 0.25 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp beef gravy granules
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions 

  • Heat oil in a large pan.
  • Add chopped onion and cook until golden.
  • Add minced beef, cook until browned, then stir in vegetables and seasonings.
  • Pour in stock, add bay leaves, cover, and simmer until veggies are tender.
  • Stir in gravy granules, season, and cook for 5 minutes. Serve over mashed potatoes.

Notes

Use lean beef for a healthier option.
