A flavorful and creamy pasta dish featuring Cajun-spiced steak, colorful peppers, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for a hearty meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb sirloin steak (cut into strips)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Vegetables

  • 1 unit onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 red red bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 green green bell pepper (sliced)

Canned Goods

  • 1 can diced tomatoes and green chilies (10 oz, undrained)

Dairy

  • 1 package cream cheese (softened, 8 oz)
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Spices & Seasonings

  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Pasta

  • 1 lb pasta (penne, rotini, or your choice)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • for garnish Chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steak strips until browned, then remove and set aside.
  • Sauté onion and garlic until softened, then add bell peppers and cook until tender.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes, green chilies, cream cheese, heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer until smooth.
  • Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. Stir in steak and 1.5 cups cheddar cheese. Top with remaining cheese, cover, and melt.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle additional green onions or hot sauce before serving.
