Ingredients

Dough

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.75 cups granulated sugar
  • 2.25 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 0.5 cup warm milk 110 F
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash

Instructions 

  • Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add eggs and warm milk; combine.
  • Add softened butter gradually, mixing well. Knead until smooth, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Let dough rise in a warm spot for 1-2 hours until doubled. Punch down and divide into 12 pieces.
  • Shape each piece into a ball, place on a greased baking sheet, and let rise for 30-40 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush rolls with beaten egg and bake for 18-20 minutes until golden.

Notes

Ensure the dough is kneaded well for a soft texture. For a shiny crust, brush with egg wash before baking.
