Delicious, fluffy dinner rolls perfect for any meal. Easy to make from scratch with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast ((1 packet))
  • 1 ½ cups warm water ((100°F – 110°F))
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter ((melted))
  • ½ cup milk ((slightly warm))

Instructions 

  • Activate yeast: Mix warm water and sugar, sprinkle yeast, and let sit 5-10 mins until foamy.
  • Create dough: Combine flour and salt, add melted butter, warm milk, and yeast mixture; mix well.
  • Knead dough for 8-10 mins until smooth; let rise in an oiled bowl for 1-1.5 hours until doubled.
  • Punch down dough, divide into balls, place on greased sheet, and let rise 30 mins.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C); bake rolls for 15-20 mins until golden brown.

Notes

For softer rolls, brush with melted butter after baking.
