These soft, chewy mini chocolate chip cookies are quick to make and perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth in just half an hour.

Ingredients

butter

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened

sugar

  • 1 cup light brown sugar, tightly packed

vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

egg

  • 1 large large egg

flour

  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour

salt

  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

baking soda

  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda

mini chocolate chips

  • 1.25 cups mini chocolate chips

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment or a reusable mat.
  • Cream softened butter and brown sugar until light and smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add egg and vanilla, mix on low until combined. Mix in flour, salt, and baking soda gently.
  • Fold in mini chocolate chips. Drop teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets, spacing ½ inch apart.
  • Bake for 7-9 minutes until slightly underdone. Cool on sheets to finish baking.

Notes

For softer cookies, slightly underbake and cool on the sheet.
