Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients and orange zest. Cut in cold butter until coarse crumbs form.
Add buttermilk and stir until a soft dough forms. Fold in cranberries.
Shape dough into a circle, cut into wedges, and place on baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg.
Bake for 13-16 minutes, then cool slightly. Mix powdered sugar, orange juice, and orange zest for glaze. Drizzle over scones.
Notes
Use cold butter for flakier scones. Adjust glaze consistency with more powdered sugar or orange juice as needed.
