Ingredients

Rice

  • 1 cup white rice (rinsed)

Meat

  • 1.5 pounds flank steak (seasoned and cooked)

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Cooking Oil

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Sauce & Marinade

  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Vegetables

  • 1 red bell pepper red bell pepper (sliced into strips)
  • 1 yellow bell pepper yellow bell pepper (sliced into strips)
  • 1 small red onion red onion (sliced into strips)

Garnish

  • 0.25 cup chopped green onions

Instructions 

  • Rinse rice and cook according to package instructions.
  • Season steak with salt, garlic powder, and black pepper, then sear in hot oil for 4-5 minutes per side. Rest and slice thinly.
  • Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar to make marinade. Stir-fry vegetables until tender, add steak and marinade, cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Divide rice into bowls, top with steak and vegetables, then garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the steak for 30 minutes before cooking.
