Ingredients

Protein

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp cold water (for cornstarch slurry)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 2 tbsp green onions (sliced)

Instructions 

  • Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  • Cook chicken in a skillet until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side.
  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  • Pour sauce over cooked chicken and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix cornstarch with cold water to make a slurry, then add to the skillet to thicken the sauce. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
