Ingredients

Oil

  • 1 tbsp oil (for frying)

Chicken Thigh Fillets

  • 6 pieces chicken thigh fillets (boneless, skinless)

Salt

  • 0.5 tsp cooking/kosher salt

Black Pepper

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Water

  • 0.5 cup water

Ketchup

  • 1/3 cup ketchup (or tomato sauce (Australian))

Soy Sauce

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

Dijon or American Mustard

  • 1 tbsp mustard

Hot Sauce

  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (optional)

Vinegar

  • 2 tbsp vinegar (any type)

Honey

  • 2.5 tbsp honey

Garlic Cloves

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

Instructions 

  • Whisk sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Dip chicken in sauce, then cook in pan: 3 min first side, 2 min second side.
  • Add remaining sauce and water, simmer until thickened, then coat chicken.
  • Serve chicken with sauce spooned over.

Notes

Adjust hot sauce for desired spice level.
