A delicious and easy-to-make Asian-inspired dish featuring tender chicken, flavorful sauce, and fresh vegetables served over rice.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 500 g Boneless chicken thighs

Grains

  • 1.5 cups White rice (uncooked)

Sauces and Condiments

  • 0.33 cup Soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger (grated)

Vegetables

  • 1.5 cups Broccoli florets
  • 1 cup Carrots (sliced)

Oils and Fats

  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil

Toppings

  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds

Instructions 

  • Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  • Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger to make the sauce.
  • Heat oil in a skillet, sear chicken until golden, then add sauce and simmer until thickened.
  • Add broccoli and carrots, cook until tender, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Serve chicken and vegetables over rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in some of the sauce before cooking.
