Enjoy flavorful grilled chicken skewers coated in a rich homemade teriyaki sauce, perfect for a quick and delicious meal.
Ingredients
Chicken

chicken thighs (or breasts) (cut into 1" cubes)

soy sauce (*low sodium recommended )

Instructions
Combine cornstarch and water; add remaining ingredients and simmer until thickened. Cool completely.
Marinate chicken in half of the cooled sauce for at least 30 minutes.
Thread chicken onto skewers and grill over medium heat, turning every 3-4 minutes.
Cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), about 20-30 minutes, basting with remaining sauce during last few turns.
Remove from grill, garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds, and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken longer or brush with additional sauce during grilling.
