This flavorful skillet features tender chicken in a rich garlic butter sauce, inspired by Texas Roadhouse's signature dish.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and season chicken with salt and pepper. Sear until golden, then set aside.
  • Reduce heat, melt butter, and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth, scrape browned bits, and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  • Add heavy cream, stir, and simmer until sauce thickens. Return chicken to coat and cook for 3–4 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley or chives and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of paprika before serving.
