Ingredients

Instructions
Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing on low until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips.
Chill dough for at least 30 minutes, preheat oven to 375°F (190°C), line baking sheets with parchment.
Scoop dough onto sheets, bake for 10-12 minutes, then cool on wire racks.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring.
