A deliciously moist cake with caramelized pears, perfect for dessert or special occasions.
Ingredients
Caramel

Instructions
Preheat oven to 170°C. Grease a 20cm cake tin and line with baking paper.
Make caramel by dissolving sugar in water, then cook until light amber. Pour into the tin and swirl to coat.
Peel, core, and quarter pears; arrange on top of caramel.
Beat eggs with raw sugar, vanilla, and citrus zests. Add melted butter, then fold in flour. Spoon batter over pears and smooth.
Bake for 30-40 minutes until set. Turn out onto a plate while hot.
Notes
Ensure pears are firm for best presentation.
