  • 6 ounces avocado (from 1 large Hass)
  • 1 cup 2% cottage cheese (I love Good Culture)
  • 3.5 to 4 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tablespoons red onion (chopped)
  • ½ medium jalapeño (with seeds if spicy, stemmed)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (plus more for garnish)
  • teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ cup chopped tomatoes (for topping)

Instructions 

  • Combine avocado, cottage cheese, lime juice, red onion, jalapeño, garlic, cilantro, and salt in a food processor.
  • Purée until smooth, then transfer to a bowl.
  • Top with chopped tomatoes and garnish with extra cilantro.
